Labor Day weekend in Colorado

We got to spend the long weekend at my parent's cabin in Colorado and we had a blast. It's so nice to get away from TV, cell phones & everyday things. We got to hike and fish and just hang out.

Here's Trey ready to go fishing.

Maddi just loves being outside, so she loves going to the cabin.

On our hike. Trey definitely has the best ride!

We found wild strawberries and could hardly get Maddi to stop picking them! She ended up with about 1/2 a ziploc bag (quart size) and ate every last one of them!

We hiked up to this waterfall. It's so beautiful and peaceful. It was about a 2 mile hike (one way) & Maddi walked almost the whole way. She did such a great job.

Daddy and the kids at the waterfall.

The kids on gameday. Go Cowboys!

Madison's favorite part of the trip was definitely fishing. Here she is showing her new bucket of worms.

Helping Grandpa bait the hook. She liked playing with the worms, so we had to convince her to put them on the hook.

A hard day at the office!

She got a little bored with fishing, so she moved on to rock climbing. She also had a great time throwing rocks in the lake.

But this was the best. While Maddi and Tommy were throwing rocks in the lake, Trey decided to cover himself with rocks. He learned that his hood on his jacket was a great pocket for all his rocks.
