Sorry it's been so long!

Ok, so I've been a horrible blogger the past month, but I do have good excuses! For those of you who don't know, my mom was diagnosed with multiple myeloma the beginnning of January. This came as quite a shock for all of us and the next few weeks consisted of me driving back and forth to Oklahoma so that I was able to attend doctor appts. with her. She went to MD Anderson last week and the good news is that she has smoldering myeloma which basically means it's there, but not progressing. She had an MRI today and after they read that, the treatment plan will be set. If the MRI doesn't show any activity, she will actually not have to start chemo right now. They will monitor her closely and at the first sign of progression, will start chemo. This is what we are praying for. The myeloma can stay inactive for 6 weeks or 6 years. We hope that it will be the longer time. I want to thank everyone for their prayers and support during this difficult time!

During all this with my mom, my sister-in-law decided that she needed to have her baby a little sooner than planned! Sonia went into the hospital on Jan. 29 and stayed there until she delivered on Feb. 3. My brother, niece and nephew got on the 1st plane they could and headed to the US from Cyprus. My brother made sure to route his flight through London and Houston so he would miss any weather that Chicago usually has at this time of year. In doing so, they ended up in London on the day they had the most snowfall London had seen in 18 years! After they landed, their plane actually skidded off the runway and they were on it for 2 hours until they finally bused them to the terminal. Their original flight to Houston was cancelled so they got on the next available flight. They ended up getting to Tulsa at 9:30 on Tuesday morning and Trinity Leigh was born at 11:30am. Talk about cutting it close! She weighed 3 lbs 8 oz and was 16 inches long. She is very tiny, but her sister was also 3 lbs 8 oz so we're used to little babies! (Not to mention my nephew Alex was only 3 lbs 7 oz.) She's doing great and they expect her to be able to go home in about a month.

We all got to hold her. It was quite a difference going out and picking up Trey after this!

Trey bundled up playing in the "no". He doesn't quite have his "s" down yet! I can't tell if he wants to play in the snow or if he's telling me no.

Here is a picture of Maddi pouting. She has it down and will sit like this for 30 minutes. She doesn't cry or yell or say anything, just sits there with her lip stuck out. Of course, I just made it worse by taking her picture!

Trey is getting so big.

Here is Trey sleeping on the way home from Grandma's this past weekend. He covered his face up to block the sun and I think it's so funny that he still has a hold of the shovel!
