We headed to Stillwater Friday afternoon for homecoming weekend. For those of you that don't know about OSU's Homecoming, it is incredible. It is the largest homecoming in the country. The festivites run all week long. On Friday night, they have the Walk Around and all the fraternities and sororities make house decorations, which are basically like big floats. The streets are closed off so that somewhere in the area of 20,000 people can walk around looking at the decorations. It's unbelievable.

There is also a kiddie carnival, so of course we had to ride the spinning ride!
Saturday morning starts with the parade that usually lasts about 1.5 hours. Both the kids loved every bit of it.
After the parade, it's straight to the tailgate until the football game starts. We had such a good time and got to see a lot of old friends. It's great to catch up with everyone.
Maddi made friends with Kennedy because she had a big bag of plastic snakes, bugs and fish. She actually picked up her chair from our tailgate and moved it into theirs. I don't have to worry about her being shy.

This is in the football game. They were both exhausted and it was very hot. They laid there for about 15 minutes just looking at each other.
We left at halftime and went back out to tailgate. Trey didn't make it long. We got back and I laid him down and he fell asleep in about 2 minutes.
We had a great time and I love being able to have my kids share in this tradition that I have enjoyed for the past 28 years! Can't wait until next year!
Oh and by the way, OSU won and is now #7 in the AP poll and #6 in the BCS. We'll enjoy it while we can because we play Texas next week in Austin.
